Nicola D. Robinson; University of Melbourne, Australia

Ms. Robinson is currently the Project Officer for The University of Melbourne Obesity Consortium which is part of the Diabetes, Obesity & Endocrinology Research Domain at the Faculty of Medicine, Dentistry and Health Sciences of which she is also Project Officer for The University of Melbourne Obesity Consortium. The Consortium is a large multifaceted group comprising of over 100 members from approximately 40 groups across the campus and its associated institutions. The Consortium has expertise that ranges from Public Health, Children and Adolescent Health Clinical Medicine, with obesity clinics that include integrated Medical, Surgical, Psychological units, Clinical Research departments, Basic Science, Economics etc, who are all currently addressing the obesity problem from many different perspectives. She also assists with the Victorian Obesity Consortium which is a unique coalition of obesity research groups derived from some of the major research institutions in Victoria, Australia. Earlier, for over a decade, Ms. Robinson has been working at the University coordinating and raising the profile of Research teams from Medicine through to Chemical and Biomolecular Engineering. She has organized numerous conferences and events of national and international standing. She works closely with the National Health and Medical Research Council, Australian Research Council, Philanthropy Australia, Ian Potter Foundation and Australian Landscape Trust. Even earlier, she spent over a decade as a Senior Project Manager working with a diverse range of clients from government agencies, through to private industry. She is a Professional Member of the Reflexology Association of Australia and assists the RAA Research Board. Mrs. Robinson is nearing the completion of a Diploma in Kinesiology and a Diploma in Nutrition.
