Milagros Gloria Huerta; M.D.
Dr. Huerta is currently a practicing clinician in Pediatrics and Endocrinology with the Pediatric Endocrine and Wellness Center in Aventura, FL. Earlier, she was an Assistant Professor of Pediatrics for the University of Virginia in Charlottesville, VA. She acted as the Principal Investigator and Co-Medical Director of the University of Virginia's Children's Fitness Clinic funded by the Buchanan Endowment. Earlier, Dr. Huerta had worked as a Pediatrician at the Dr. Rafael de la Cruz Pediatric Clinic in Brownsville, TX; as a Pediatrician at Gateway Community Health Center in Laredo, TX; as a Primary care physician in Police Health Services Rural Clinic. Chosica, Peru, and as a Physician in Obstetrics & Gynecology office at Police Health Services Medical Center in Lima, Peru. During her professional medical career she has earned two Fellowships in Pediatric Endocrinology at the University of Virginia, and conducted her residency and internship in Pediatrics at the University of Florida in Gainesville, FL. Dr. Huerta is board certified in Pediatric Endocrinology by the American Board of Pediatrics Certificate # 000956; in Pediatrics by the American Board of Pediatrics. Certificate # 056202; and by the Educational Commission for Foreign Medical Graduates.
