Anne L. Conklin; Volunteers of America
Ms. Conklin currently works as the Head Start Project Manager for Volunteers of America in Denver, CO. She is responsible for all aspects of Head Start program operation, including education, family services, community partnerships, health, nutrition, transportation, and program design. Previous work experience has included serving as the Education Coordinator for the Lakewood, CO Head Start program, the Director of the Curiosity Shop Preschool in Montbello, CO and the Director of the Good Morning Preschool in Denver, CO. Even earlier, she had worked as a Preschool Teacher in the Denver Public Schools in Denver, CO and as a Child Care Worker with the National Asthma Center in Denver, CO. Ms. Conklin holds B.S. degree in Child Development and Family Relationships with honors from Colorado State University in Fort Collins, CO. She has acquired additional continuing education credits from the University of Colorado in Boulder, CO. and from Texas Tech in Lubbock, TX. Ms. Conklin is a member of several Advisory Boards including the Red Rocks Community College Early Childhood Professions Department; the Warren Technical College Early Childhood Program; the Colorado Preschool Program (Jefferson County); and the Total Long-term Care Facility Intergenerational Program, Lakewood, CO. She is also a Fellow in the Emerging Leaders project for the Children's Defense Fund.
