Javier I. Rosado; Ph.D., B.A.
Dr. Rosado is currently the Director of Clinical Training at the Florida State University College of Medicine, Immokalee Health Education Site. He leads several multidisciplinary intervention programs around childhood and adolescent obesity. Dr. Rosado’s work has been funded by the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation and has been published in the American Journal of Preventive Medicine. He has research experience in educational psychology as well as in behavioral medicine. Even earlier, he was a postdoctoral fellow at the Pediatrics Department of the Healthcare Network of Southwest Florida in Immokalee, FL. Dr. Rosado holds a PhD degree from The Florida State University in Counseling Psychology and Human Systems. During his doctoral education, he interned at the Yale University Medical School, where he completed a pre-doctoral Internship training program in Clinical and Community Psychology. He holds a B.A. degree in Interdisciplinary Social Science from the University of South Florida. Dr. Rosado is a Florida Licensed Psychologist specializing in Pediatric Psychology and Primary Care Psychology.
