Roland J. Regan, Jr. J.D., MBA, M.Ed., A.B.

Mr. Regan currently serves on the Board of Trustees, and as President and CEO of the Foundation. Earlier, he was a Principal and Senior Associate with the management consulting and executive training firms of Promonde, Inc., and Harbridge House, Inc. both respectively in Boston, MA. Mr. Regan focused and developed an expertise in the areas of executive and professional management development and training; policy development; strategic planning; brand marketing; contracts and licensing; public relations; program management; cause marketing; entrepreneurship and innovation; and event development. His clientele included Fortune 1000 companies, small and minority owned businesses, and several European municipality sport venues and healthcare facilities. Even earlier, Mr. Regan worked as a Contracts and Licensing Consultant for Hercules Aerospace/Simmonds Precision in Vergennes, VT. Earlier still for a brief period, he was an Assistant District Attorney with the Essex County D.A.'s office in Lynn, MA. Even earlier still, he was honorably discharged after serving nearly five years as an officer in the U.S. Air Force assigned to the NATO AWACS program as an Acquisition Officer at Hanscom AFB. Mr. Regan holds a Juris Doctorate degree focusing in corporate law and a MBA degree concentrating in marketing and finance with honors from Suffolk University in Boston, MA, a master's degree in administration and policy development from Harvard University in Cambridge, MA, an A.B. degree with honors in economics and general management from Boston College in Chesnut Hill, MA, and graduated with distinction from the U.S. Air Force Officers Training School in San Antonio, TX. Mr. Regan received several academic scholarships including Teaching and Research Fellowships during his undergraduate and graduate school pursuits. He interned, during his undergraduate and graduate school tenure, as a Legislative Aide at the Massachusetts State House in Boston, MA. He worked with several House committees and legislators on the research, development, and progression of legislation through its 2nd and 3rd committee readings before entering U.S.A.F. Officers Training School. During his five year tenure at the Massachusetts State House he worked for Speaker Thomas McGee, Senator Carol Amick, and Representative Kevin M. Burke. Mr. Regan has written and published an article on international marketing for the Sextant Magazine (Salem State University magazine), and has co-written and co-published a book entitled "From Boston to Berlin" (ISBN# 9781557532268) and an article entitled "Connecting Generations Through the Memory of the Second World War" regarding two immigrant sons World War II experiences for Purdue University Press, and the Sextant Magazine respectively. These documents along with over 150 additional photographs from WWII and multiple American and German military artifacts were donated as the "Roland J. Regan, Sr. Collection" to Boston College in 2000 and are archived in the Burns Library. His professional and literary work has been profiled or featured by the Boston College Chronicle, the Boston College Magazine, the Harvard Graduate School of Education Magazine, the Suffolk University Alumni Magazine, the Sextant Magazine's 150th anniversary edition, WBZ-AM 1030 Boston MA, WZLX-FM 100.7 Boston MA, KDUK-AM 1010 Denver CO, the Lynn Item, and the Salem Evening News. Mr. Regan has taught and co-taught business law, marketing, sport marketing, organizational behavior, entrepreneurship, and the business of sport as an adjunct faculty member at Harvard, University of Vermont, Boston University, Bentley University, Endicott College, and Salem State College. He authored a book entitled "Sport Marketing" published by Prentice Hall (ISBN# 9780205195848) and an article for the Sextant Magazine  entitled "The Globalization of Sports Marketing". When his professional work and travel schedule allowed over a twelve year period he was featured in several regional TV commercials for various company brands, worked as an extra in the private detective TV series "Spenser for Hire" filmed in Boston, and co-hosted a radio show called "Sports Break" for WBPS 890AM in Boston and personally interviewed many sport and non-sport celebrities including David Downs Vice President of ABC Sports Programming; David Segerman Senior Editor of College Sports Magazine; Kevin O'Malley President of TBS Sports; Dick Regan Chief Operations Officer of NFL-Europe; Robert Grier Director of Player Personnel for the New England Patriots; Tom Mariano Chief College Scout for the New Orleans Saints; Paul Kariya of the NHL Anaheim Ducks; and Davey Jones of The Monkees. Mr. Regan has traveled extensively both professionally and personally throughout the Republic of Ireland, Great Britain, Germany, The Netherlands, Belgium, Denmark, France, Spain, Italy, Switzerland, Austria, Poland, Czech Republic, Hungary, Canada, Mexico, Cuba, Grand Camen, and the U.S.A.
